What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
In today’s digital landscape, relying solely on a username and password is no longer enough to protect sensitive data. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) introduces an additional “factor” for login security, ensuring a higher level of protection against unauthorized access.
While SMS-based authentication is a common method, it may not be the most secure due to SIM cloning vulnerabilities. However, MFA for Domino has an alternative—Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) for Domino 12. While manual entry of TOTP codes can be cumbersome, the trade-off between convenience and security can be worth it.
